Cozy Winter

This week was busy but cozy, with Thanksgiving and then decorating for Christmas. Our dinner was tasty but pretty standard fare; I didn’t take any pretty pictures of our feast.

I did take pictures of the latest addition to our Lego winter village. I’ve been collecting their winter village since the beginning over a decade ago. Since then it’s become almost a small Lego city. I enjoyed building the log cabin ski lodge, complete with outhouse and hockey pond.

After a cozy Thanksgiving and a peaceful Friday decorating and Lego-ing, we woke up to nearly a foot of snow. That’s quite a lot for our town and quite a surprise. For a moment it felt like we were back in the Rockies. My normal weekend trail was snowed over but I did take a nice walk around the neighborhood.

I also nearly finished the cardigan. I made pockets and stitched them on, blocked and wove in the ends, and this week I’ll sew the snaps on. It looks and feels good on. Next week I’ll post some nice pictures of me modeling the final product. Until then, I hope everyone is well and warm. –Corvus
