I’ve set up my artsy Dark Academic sister blog and made a couple of posts. I’m calling it Femina Studet, Latin for “the woman studies.” We went to the opera last night to see The Lord of Cries and I posted my thoughts on the sister blog.
In other news, remember how I was starting a set of pagan sabbat themed cross stitches a couple months ago? Well, I’ve finished three more of those since I mentioned them. I started with Litha and now I’m about halfway through the Yule pattern. I should be far enough through the set to start framing and displaying them around Samhain. I’m excited.
My photos aren’t really doing justice to the fabric colors I used. I’ll have to find better lighting and maybe unpack my actual camera when I start framing so you can get the full effect.
I do have a couple other cross stitch patterns on my list, but as we settle into fall I might get back to knitting or crochet. In one of the unpacked boxes I still have squares for a cool textured lap blanket I’d like to continue, and I might like to make a nice soft cardigan, too. *sigh* So many projects, so little time.
