Today’s question: what’s your favorite season and why?

Fall. It’s the perfect temperature, cool enough for sweaters and still warm enough for a walk in the woods. Fall is mushroom season. Fall is cool enough to enjoy hearty soups and roasted veggies. Fall has the spooky fun of Halloween and the cozy love of Thanksgiving, as well as the harvests of Mabon and Samhain to wrap up the old year and make way for the new.

Not to sound sappy, but I do think all seasons have their own charm, and I enjoy living in a place with four distinct seasons. I’ve lived in places that were warm all year round; it’s nice not shoveling snow, but I prefer feeling the seasons change around me. Fall is my favorite but I’m glad it gives way to other seasons in their turn.
