Goth Gratitude Day 24

I’ve been trying to think of things to say and I’m coming up short. There are always big things to worry about and little things to be grateful for, but quarantine gets so boring my brain goes numb and I can barely remember what day it is.

Today we made a little fire and roasted hot dogs. We played cards and the kids practiced gymnastics tricks. We could hear neighbors in their yards having fun, too. It was pleasant, relaxing. It almost felt normal.

That’s all I’ve got for today. It all feels like being in a waiting room, trying to stay awake until your name is called. Or in this case, waiting for the storm to pass. There are ways to make the waiting more bearable but it still wears you down.

Good luck to us all. Stay safe.
