Goth Gratitude Day 21

yearbooksLooks like everyone on Facebook is posting their senior pictures in support of all the kids who can’t have official high school graduations this spring. I didn’t buy a yearbook my senior year, but my kids found my earlier yearbooks and they’ve been looking through them all week. Gosh, I wore a lot of thrift store stuff back then. You just don’t find that cool ’70’s and early ’80’s stuff at thrift stores anymore. Not around here, anyway.

That’s me on the far left, in the sweet leather jacket. Thrifted, of course.

Looking at all these old photos, what I notice most is my wild hair. It took me a long time to learn to tame those curls even a little.

  1. That’s so great that you kept these. Your jacket is ace. My hair looked much the same. Yeah thrift stores or second hand clothes shops (UK) have a lot of retro 80’s shit, as in, it just looks like it’s from back then but is prob from Urban Outfitters or H&M from around 20 years ago. At my prom I got mistakenly referred to as ‘that rather foxy and sophisticated teacher’ by someone’s Dad apparently….I was going for young, edgy goth. MORTIFIED! 😆
