Mr. Robot broke two bones in his hand last week in a bike accident and he’s having them fixed with screws and plates while I watch Rachel Ray’s Halloween here in the surgical center waiting room. All our normal Halloween plans fell apart and I haven’t even properly dressed up or painted my nails this year. We did make it to the Baby Robot’s school Halloween parade, though. She’s Oogie Boogie this year. The other two are getting too old for trick-or-treating so they’ll be watching scary movies while Baby Robot roams the neighborhood with her best friend’s family.

So it’s not our most festive Halloween. Or maybe having surgery is the most hardcore Halloween ever, what with the blood and screws and all. Either way, I hope everyone’s having a spooky time.
