Treasures

It’s been an exhausting week full of minor annoyances, but yesterday we got a couple hours to check out the Treasures Antique Mall a couple towns over. It’s huge–two warehouses and a large fenced in yard full of cool vintage glassware, old farm tools, taxidermy and museum specimens, and just about anything else old you can think of. We had a great time looking around.

Most of it was fun to see but not too tempting, but we came home with a few amazing bargains. I really wanted the creepy doll head mold but it was expensive and Mr. Robot would hate it. What I did buy was a nice piece of petrified wood, a phrenology head, a beautiful set of butterfly specimens, and a vintage glass serving bowl.

We also got a great bargain on a child’s violin, case and accessories included. Now our living room sounds like an orchestra tuning up. It’s kind of nice.
