Aside from some minor details, I’m finished painting for the forseeable future. I now have lovely green trim and bright pink kitchen walls. Now that the pink is up I can’t decide whether I love it or hate it. It’s very “Alice in Wonderland,” which I like, but I’m usually not a pink person. Some moments I love it–it’s fresh and reminds me of roses and watermelon. But sometimes I think it looks like the set of a toddler TV show and I get freaked out. Oh well. Kids will be out of school soon and we’ll be too busy over the summer to change anything, and by fall I’ll know whether I want to change it or not.

I am sure about the green trim, though. I love it, and I love the way it pops against the dark purple. The stair rail doesn’t show up well in pictures but I painted that green as well. It was so fiddly but worth the effort.
